The thickness, shape, colorof your nails are all symptoms that can point you out that you might be experiencing some health issues.
They may be a warning to some serious health problems. Stains, color irregularity, thickness of nails can be a warning of some internal problems.
- Wire Nails
If your nails create a shape reminiscent of a spoon or even thinner and are curved outwards, it may be a sign of too much iron or iron deficiency, or a heart disease.
2. Nails Color
Healthy nails should be white and pink with a white crescent of the nail root. Green nails are a sign of bacterial infection. The red lines on the nails are a sign of a problem with the heart. The lack of oxygen in the blood can be shown through blue nails. Lack of vitamins can be noticed if you have lifeless nails. Dark spots on the top of the nails are a sign of aging, and white nails warn you that you may have a problem with the liver.
This unpleasant phenomenon indicates disease causing hair loss or psoriasis.
Regular cracking and cracked nail is due to deficiency of protein,folic acid and vitamin C. Psoriasis, in 10 percent of cases begins with white spots in nails root. Cracked nails are sometimes associated with chronic nourishing.
5. Thick Nails
Thick nails are neither common nor natural. If your nails are significantly thick that may be associated with lung problems. Grooved and thick nails can mean a yeast infection, and a thick and cracked nail can mean problems with the thyroid gland. Poor circulation is usually pointed to you with your nails being unusually thick.
